Abstract Part II of this paper presents a demographic analysis of recreational boating fatalities determined in Part I to involve cold-related causes. The purpose of this analysis is to characterize high-risk populations among recreational boaters. It is shown that the fatalities occur heavily in the spring and extend into early summer, involve mostly males, and heavily involve boaters who can swim but are not wearing a flotation device. It is also shown that the geographic regions of greatest risk include the deep south.
