AbstractA short review of the use of aircraft to generate weightlessness is given. Some of the aircraft that have been used for this purpose are mentioned and their desirable characteristics are discussed. Particulars on instrumentation, modifications and flight parameters are given of the facility used by NLR, a Hawker Hunter T Mk. 7 aircraft. A test program carried out in this facility is discussed. The program was conceived to generate qualitative information about liquid behaviour in partially filled containers, in preparation of a Spacelab experiment. The results are interpreted qualitatively and illustrated with filmed records of weightless liquid behaviour.
