Propulsive coefficient is defined as ratio of EHP for naked hull to actual IHP or SHP recorded on trial; records of more than 1000 trials analyzed, mainly on basis of Taylor's curves for residuary resistance, and conclusion is reached that effect of model experiment method is that fractional resistance of model is underestimated, while residuary resistance is overestimated.
