During process of entering planetary atmospheres, space vehicles may encounter largest flight dynamic pressures at very high Mach numbers; most severe aeroelastic phenomena may therefore occur at hypersonic speeds; 2 approximate techniques described hold promise of supplying information of dynamic airload prediction for 2- and 3-dimensional pointed bodies of general shape; illustrations including comparisons and application to chordwise divergence.
