Power-off landing technique developed for manned satellite vehicle capable of normal aerodynamic flight after re-entering atmosphere; landing pattern provides explicitly defined flight path for pilot and, yet, requires no external guidance other than pilot's view from cockpit; landings were made repeatedly within 600 ft of preselected touchdown point at airspeeds within 10 knots of desired value.
