Discusses design of R-101 being constructed by Air Ministry at Cardington; there are 15 main longitudinal girders, each equilateral triangle, located entirely on outside of transverse frames; airship has no keel, and no intermediate transverse frames; outstanding problem is that of providing much stronger girders of greater span than used hitherto. Paper read before Instn. Naval Architects.
