Analytic treatment of equilibrium configurations for thin-walled, axisymmetric, rotating, filamentary pressure vessels; solutions in form of tabulated elliptical integral functions are developed for geometrical characteristics of structural shapes and filamentary geometries; morphological review of corresponding structures is presented; experimental realization of equilibrium configuration of various filamentary structures, including stationary pressure vessels and rotating single filaments, confirms validity of expressions; applications of formulas to problems of external loadings and of static stability of filamentary, pressure stabilized structures.
