In motor developed by British Messier, Ltd, pressure fluid is admitted to cylinders with cam operated slide valves, so arranged that pistons are disposed to thrust sequentially on swashplate mounted on output shafts; unit weighs 14.3 lb and develops 15.8 hp at 2500 rpm, fluid pressure being 4000 psi; it is applied to Fowler type flaps being widely fitted to recent aircraft.
