Deficiencies of meteorological satellites can be overcome, if global weather satellites are coordinated with necessary ambient sensors immersed in atmosphere; ambient meteorological measurements in remote areas appear technically feasible using fixed position, land based automatic weather stations, such as Amos, fixed position or free floating automatic marine weather stations, such as Mamos or Nomad, or constant level balloons, for free atmosphere winds and temperatures; possible applications are shown; application most thoroughly studied to date involves constant level balloons.
