Space flight -- yesterday, today, and tomorrow; development of chemical rocket motors with exhaust velocities up to 5000 m/sec will make it possible to pass from multistage space vehicles to 1- or 2-stage vehicles and from ballistic space-flight technique to aeronautical space flight for flight missions between surface of earth and earth orbit; reusability of vehicles will reduce transportation costs of 1-kg of useful load from actual $5000/kg to perhaps $50/kg; erection of big space stations and of lunar bases will become economically feasible; future trends.
