Feasibility analysis points up fact that, although overall Doppler shift of signal originating from beacon on moon is quite significant, portion of shift which is sensitive to selenographic latitude and longitude of beacon is much smaller; basic transmitter frequency would have to be held constant (including noise) to one part in 109 for even marginal performance of beacon location system; analysis also shows that there exist optimum times of month for most accurately determining selenographic coordinates of beacon.
