Advances in use of aluminum for truck and trailer weight reduction; development, by White Motor Co, of chassis design which permits additional payload of 6000 lb; in this design, axle with indvidual wheel mounted directly to frame is placed ahead of driving axle, and these wheels steer in coordination with front axle.
