History and physical layout of existing Cleveland Transit System which consists of 13 mi, east-west, rapid transit line operating on private right-of-way; extension of system is under way which will connect Cleveland Hopkins Airport with central city; studies have been carried out on potential airport-to-city riding and on feasibility of transporting cargo; passenger-carrying possibilities and usefulness of rapid transit in tieing together other modes of transportation are indicated and description of extension of system to airport is included, covering stations along way, passenger comfort, potential usage, and future expansion.
