Contribution of pressure-sensitive interfacial reactions to acoustic admittance of propellants was studied; using carboxy-terminated polybutadiene-ammonium perchlorate propellant, effects of various coatings on oxidizer crystals were investigated with T-burner over range of frequencies from 150 to 500 cps; of coatings used (Kel-F 800, Hypalon 30, Viton A, and ethyl-cellulose), only Kel-F and Viton reduced reactivity of propellant binder-oxidizer interface to produce significant reduction in maximum value of observed acoustic admittance; results of theoretical studies.
