Author is inclined to think that there are many people who would prefer more interesting life on board a full-rigged sailing ship, provided that it were possible to offer them same kind of comfort as in present-day steamer, and also provided sailing ship could make fast passages on reasonably regular schedule of time; compares resistances of proposed design of four-masted barque with those of three representative clipper ships and with one ship belonging to class of big modern steel sailing ships. Paper read before Instn. Nav. Architects. See also Engineering, vol. 123, no. 3197, Apr. 22, 1927, pp. 497-499, 8 figs.
