Stability of ships is usually dealt with too much from naval architect's point of view when he designs ship; object of this paper is to draw attention to fact that by far most important side of this question is one which affects safety of passengers, crew and cargo during their transport across sea; indicates method of teaching that will appeal more readily than one now usual, to minds of ship officers and others connected with practical management of ships. See abstract in Shipbldg. and Shipg. Rec., vol. 30, no. 19, Nov. 10, 1927, pp. 528-530, 7 figs.
