Frigidaire, Detroit Diesel Engine, and Delco Div of General Motors are building new type mechanical refrigerating equipment for Fruit Growers Express Co; system consists of Frigidaire compressor, condenser, and cooling coils; Diesel electric unit is 34-hp Detroit Diesel engine driving Delco 20-kw, 60-cycle, 220-v, 3-phase, a-c generator; system is capable of sustaining temperatures within car at 0 F for weeks at a time with minimum of refrigerating cost.
