Analytical model is developed that considers effect of run of boundary-layer growth preceding transpiration surface; model consists of laminar, incompressible boundary layer on flat plate; solution considers classical Blasius solution to generate initial conditions over solid portion of boundary layer and is extended into transpiration region by applying finite difference technique; it was found that solid leading edge had significant effect on magnitude of skin-friction coefficient over transpiration surface.
