Representatives of twenty-six countries and eleven international organizations attended the conference reported on here. The specific problem was the reduction of noise and disturbance caused by civil aircraft. No attempt was made to develop any binding agreements; but all aspects of the problem as reported by the several committees were discussed with the ultimate aim of establishing satisfactory and feasible standards in the future.
