Accurate frame and wheel alignment is imperative if maximum tire life is to be expected; there are five factors affecting steering, which are built into front axle, all of which must be in proper relation one to other to avoid faulty steering and excessive tire wear: caster, camber, king pin inclination, toe-in, and steering geometry; these factors are discussed.
