Term "electrical interference" rather than "radio noise, radio interference, or RFI" is used because majority of problems, encountered by Boeing, are caused by voltage transients on power lines and AF magnetic fields, usually in range of 400 cycles, or multiple of 400 cycles; lesser known aircraft electrical interference problem areas and their causes are considered illustrating each area with example that has caused trouble on Boeing transports; example of new snow tires which contained metal chips embedded in rubber were creating enough RF noise to completely blank UHF receiving antennas located near 2 main landing gear.
