How Chrysler Corp changed most of its lines to unitized construction for their 1960 models; type of construction created new set of ground rules for engineer, since it lacked inherent isolation between chassis and passenger previously provided by rubber body mounts; one of first differences noted was increase in gear noise, produced by rear axle differential gears; other problems which had to be met, i.e., axle noise tuning, driveline tuning, driveline vibrations imposed upon body, body response; another interrelationship which required consideration in design of engine mounts.
