Two important sources of random aeroacoustic excitation of aerospace structures are jets of gas turbines and rockets, and turbulent boundary layers; their dominant characteristics relevant to their loading of structures, such as cross-correlation in narrow frequency bands of pressure field, are outlined; two theoretical approaches to estimation of resultant response, which are available to aid designer, are outlined and solutions formulated.
