In order to maintain constant ASIR during climb, true forward speed of airplane must increase; thus there is increase in kinetic energy of airplane as well as increase in potential energy; this increase in kinetic energy has usually been neglected in performance reduction; it is shown that for climbs done at high speeds, correction is sufficiently large to be considered.
