Review of work in progress at British shipyard; although plant is not entirely modern, yard is reasonably well equipped, and, in particular, welding installation is quite new; current is taken from sub-station at 11,000 v, and, after being stepped down to 440 v, is distributed to building berths and shops by 4 main cables; part of small shipyard school is utilized by Ministry of Labor for general training purposes; vessels built at yard are of 11 knot "B" type.
