Oresundsvarvet AB, Landskrona, have launched 7000 tons gross passenger and car ferry Fennia for Stockholm and Abo service of AB Siljarederiet, company controlled jointly by three Finnish lines serving routes between Sweden and Finland; length oa 421 ft 3 in., molded breadth 64 ft 7 in., depth to car deck 24 ft 3 1/2 in., draft 15 ft 10 in., dw capacity 1500 tons; 1200 passengers can be carried, and about 32 truck-trailer sets or 140 automobiles; four 9-cyl Ruston engines each develop 2376 bhp at 520 rpm.
