Development and use of electronic instruments for recording displacements, accelerations and strains, in connection with ship work; applications reviewed were studied in Naval Architecture Department of Durham University, England, and include; ship hull vibration recording and measuring equipment, ship noise measurements and sound analysis; laboratory vibration work on entrained water problems; other measurements which are facilitated by use of electronic instruments.
