Trains, converted from Pullman observation and lounge cars, are in readiness at Army's Arlington Yards in Staten Island, NY; each train accompanied by completely equipped kitchen car; interior of cars simulate hospital ward; conditions of operation affecting cars; axle generators run many hours in each day to keep battery charged; steam supply from locomotive is available every day as long as cars are in use; equipped to receive electric power at any location where they may be parked.
