Sadler and built by Toledo Shipbuilding Co., will protect Detroit's extensive waterfront; boat is 135 ft. length o.a., 29 ft. beam, 15 ft. 6 in. molded depth; cylinder diameters are 18 and 36 in., stroke 27 in.; pumping equipment consists of two 12-in. four-stage Manistee Roturbo centrifugal pumps; steam is supplied by two Babcock and Wilcox marine water-tube boilers.
