Replica of Stephenson's famous engine, the Rocket, has been completed to order of Henry Ford, who intends to place it in his Mechanical Museum at Detroit; every care has been taken to ensure as nearly as possible that lines of original engine should be followed; materials used are wrought iron, wood, and non-ferrous metal, steel being entirely absent; tubes were made from sheet copper and hand brazed; boiler plates have thickness of 1/4 in. (see also Engineer, vol. 147, no. 3829, May 31, 1929, pp. 593-594, 2 figs.; and Locomotive, vol. 35, no. 442, June 15, 1929, pp. 171-172, 1 fig)
