Particulars of clean-oil tanker for Tidewater Oil, being built by Pusey and Jones; length 225 ft., deadweight capacity 2400 tons, capacity of lubricating oil 55,000 ft.; main power plant consists of two 6-cylinder, 4-cycle, trunk-piston De La Vergne engines of 17-in. bore and 24-in. stroke, developing 625 hp. at 225 r.p.m.; each engine is directly connected to General-Electric 410-kw. exciter; generators furnish power to General-Electric double-armature, 1000-s. hp., 13-r.p.m. motor, directly connected to ship's propeller.
