Experiments to find practical value for passenger car equivalent of bus on sections of road without controlled intersections are described; two straight lengths of road without controlled intersections were selected for experiments; inspection of journey times showed that buses rarely took more than about minute longer than cars to go through section; tabulated data on flows that were observed for different classes of vehicle and on passenger car equivalents of buses are given.
