Three series of visual performance studies were conducted to provide design data for feasibility analysis of self-propulsion and stabilization unit for orbital maintenance workers and to determine man's visual performance capability in space vision environment; results indicate that observers were unable to judge with satisfactory accuracy their distance from target of known size, in absolute or relative terms.
