Design of computer program to describe aircraft operational availability which involves measure of corrective and preventive maintenance and accurate assessment of aircraft's operational environment; major variable inputs to model are times to failure, times to repair, scheduled maintenance, periodic inspection intervals, and scheduled overhaul times; model output comprises manpower, spares, and ground support equipment utilization, number of missions flown and cancelled, various queuing effects produced by many aircraft competing for limited resources, and amounts of time each aircraft is in all-operational and nonoperational states.
