Discussion of possibilities for rationalization of storage space in ship holds, warehouses, etc, if rational standardization of forms and dimensions of packages, cases, containers should be possible; proposal is for adoption of not only volume unit, but spatial modulus, form or format which would be type from which would be derived all multiple and submultiple forms and volumes that could be adopted as series of standard formats; allowance is made for both Moorsom tons of 100 cu ft and metric measurement; diagrams are included.
