Many disadvantages inherent in conventional booster sustainer systems can be eliminated by designing desired thrust program into single solid propellant engine of type under development; configurations include tandem chamber configuration, one or two propellants in one chamber, and one partitioned chamber with one propellant in each of partitioned sections.
