Twelve electric luffing deck cranes are installed on 7100-ton dwt motor ship Elgaren, built for Transatlantic Group by Stuelcken and Sohn; four have lifting capacity of 5 tons and eight of 3 tons; cranes are mounted on conical flanged pillars integral with deck, and each has independent power drive motions for hoisting, luffing, and slewing; 40 ton derrick boom is provided for lifting loads beyond capacity of cranes.
