Program of field tests was conducted by U S Army Waterways Experiment Station with Marsh Screw Amphibian to evaluate its performance on range of soil conditions; performance was expressed in terms of ability to travel 50 passes in same path, maneuverability, speed, drawbar pull, and slope-climbing ability; soil conditions were described in terms of soil type, moisture content, density and cone index; relations between vehicle performance and soil condition are presented.
