Precision laser tracker capable of tracking low-acceleration target to accuracy of about 25 μrad rms was constructed; tracker basic components are laser, image dissector, and servocontrolled tracking mirror; daytime sensitivity of this system is approximately 3× 10-14w/sq m; experimental tests were performed to evaluate both dynamic characteristics of this system and its sensitivity; system was also used to track passively stars and Echo I satellite.
