Data presented on drag, weight, cooling and fuel consumption of power plant installations; based upon these data design of three groups of air cooled and liquid cooled airplanes is postulated; groups compared upon basis of equal size and weight, and air cooled aircraft are found to be superior in pursuit, bomber and transport types.
