Pure air suspension, using Dunlop components, is offered by A.E.C. Ltd on its single-decker chassis; front and rear axles are located by parallel trailing links and Panhard rods; 4 Dunlop Dillow combined bellows and diaphragm air springs are used to suspend each axle; chassis has gear-driven auxiliaries, spiral-bevel rear axle, heavy-duty front axle, worm and nut steering with optional hydraulic power assistance, and air pressure braking with separated front and rear circuits; it has 17 ft 6 in. wheelbase and is suitable for body lengths of 33 ft; 11.3 liter AH690 6-cyl diesel engine develops 192 bhp.
