NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory examined characteristics and mission capabilities of electric propulsion spacecraft to determine most suitable system applications; tabulation of mission performance of chemical propulsion spacecraft using 3 typical boosters; missions parameters; it is felt that electrical propulsion shows progressively greater performance advantages over other systems and in some cases provides only means for accomplishing mission.
