Flows have been investigated qualitatively by means of flow visualization, and quantitatively, in one case, by measuring pressures on fuselage afterbody incorporating varying degree of upsweep; results of inviscid, attached flow, modified slender-body calculation method for pressure distributions on fuselage afterbody agree in trend with measured pressures, but do not adequately predict circumferential pressure gradients; all tests with no applied sideslip indicate complete flow symmetry about afterbody, even at upsweep angles as high as 20 degrees.
