Mathematical model (computer program) to obtain airline schedules is developed; objective was to maximize number of passengers served, considering their preference for convenient flights, and to maximize earnings accruing from services; dynamic programming techniques were used to derive algorithm; model produces timetables for each city on airline's route structure and schedule for each aircraft; maintenance constraints, multistop flight interaction and gating requirements are included in model to obtain real world schedules.
