Methods and equipment used by Hurley Marine Works, Inc, Oakland, Calif, in converting Russian cargo ship Chernyshevski to floating cannery for use in Siberian coastal fisheries; length oa 372 ft; beam molded 50 ft; depth molded 24 ft 6 in.; powered by triple expansion steam engine 25 in.-41 in.-67 in. bore × 45 in. stroke; as floating cannery, vessel berths and feeds 800 workers and crew members; utilizes most modern cannery machinery to produce canned crab and fish in season.
