Because of inherent corrosion resistance of low alloy, high strength steels, even greater weight saving can be obtained on mobile structures where corrosion is controlling factor in determining thickness of plate, than strength considerations alone would dictate; steels are evaluated from relative technical and economic advantages for construction of railroad rolling stock, mine and dump cars, trucks and trailers, and barges.
