U S Air Force, NASA, and FAA engaged in joint research program for purpose of measuring sonic-boom pressure signatures; measurements are presented for several locations for flight tests of fighter and bomber aircraft in altitude range from about 10,000 to 75,000 ft and at Mach numbers from about 1.1 to 2.0; data obtained for variety of atmospheric wind and temperature gradients, flight paths and acceleration rates.
