Inverse method is presented for calculations, and numerical difficulties encountered with it are categorized; examples of instabilities and certain techniques for suppressing some of these; 1-parameter family of shock-wave shapes yields spherical-nosed, axisymmetric bodies to high degree of accuracy; solutions for perfect gases from 5 to 100 Mach for specific heat ratios from 1.1 to 1.6667 and for air in thermodynamic equilibrium over speed range from 10,000 to 45,000 fps for altitudes from 100,000 to 300,000 ft.
