Pitch, roll, skidding behavior, and other factors influencing driving stability were measured and recorded, using gyroscope instruments; tests included driving along circles and curves, passing other cars, and effect of wind gusts; consideration of lateral acceleration seems to be of importance when evaluating driving characteristics as it forces driver and passenger to brace themselves in car; roll and skid must be taken into account because of psychological effects.
