Tire uniformity alteration is method to reduce non-uniformity levels of cured tires to selected minimum value; process includes removing very small amount of rubber from strategic regions on tire tread; method is used in tire production and is effective corrective procedure; it is practical means of controlling uniformity of cured tires and will result in improvement in tire shake throughout normal tire life; applications to pilot and production type machine are also described.
